If you haven’t already experienced My Yahoo, then you’re in for a treat. My Yahoo allows you to add all of your favorite websites together into one place; it’s an aggregate for everything web. I discovered it about a year ago, and continue to use it, until today.
Today I found a link to http://www.google.com/ig, which is Google’s answer to My Yahoo. I’m a big fan of mr. Google’s work, and so I couldn’t wait to try this out. Again, you can add your favorite websites, subscribe to rss feeds and top news stories, and it’s all at your fingertips in front of you. Google’s style is clean and minimal, which is refreshing. It offers many similar functions that My Yahoo does, but it seems to me that the design is simpler and easier to use. Here’s a hint: you can drag and drop any of the headers to any other section of your google page. It’s excellent!
Also, you can check out Google Reader, which reads all of your rss feeds in one place. It’s functionality is excellent, and it’s very easy to add new feeds as you find them. Another site from google is Google movies, which allows you too look up local movie times. Oh, and just for the record, I heart google.
