I’m introducing a new style of photography to a few of my photos for my wedding packages: vintage style

All the photos above were given my vintage style treatment, which is a series of techniques I’ve developed to give the photos more character and add a sense of age to them. In my wedding packages, I’ll treat 10-25 photos like this for the fine art albums and for fine art prints for the bride and groom.

this is really beautiful. could you possibly tell me the technique you use? i do photography at college and this would be great for my project, thanks x

@Emma: thanks for the kind comment. Basically, I just add a series of layers on top of the photo. Then, I take away and add different levels of texture to get the look I’m going for. It’s not really a standard thing I do for each one, so it’s a bit difficult to say what to do to get the look, because it varies with each photograph.

However, you could try Nichole Van’s actions, which can help you achieve the same type of style.

wow! Do you have anything of the Los Angeles Temple?

  • 6 Daniel // Jul 31, 2008 at 10:16 am

    Hi Kelly,

I don’t have any of the Los Angeles Temple, but I’ve been getting more and more requests for LDS temple prints, so I’ll be doing some more in the near future. I’ll post the new photos on this website as they become available.

    Thanks!
